Job summary

Regional 911 Intake Solutions is seeking 911 Call Takers for Manning, SC. You will answer emergency and nonemergency lines, verify location and callback data, and follow structured question sequences to assess urgency.

You will input details into dispatch software and promptly relay information to the proper teams. Training includes pre-arrival instructions and use of accessibility resources while supporting distressed callers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong listening and communication skills essential.
• Accurate typing and ability to follow structured procedures.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller’s callback information.
• Use approved questions to identify nature and urgency of the situation.
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Assist distressed callers and provide essential instructions within training.
• Use language-access resources when needed.
• Provide authorized pre-arrival instructions only within training.
