Training is provided and ongoing performance evaluations are part of the role. Applicants should have strong listening comprehension, accurate typing, and clear verbal communication, with eligibility screening and background checks conducted by the hiring

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service, telephone support, or public safety experience may help.
• Some vacancies accept applicants without dispatch experience.

Responsabilités

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller callback information.
• Use approved questions to identify urgency and nature of the situation.
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Support distressed callers with focused questions and instructions.
• Apply language-access and accessibility resources when needed.
• Provide authorized pre-arrival instructions within training.
