Regional 911 Intake Solutions in Verdigre, NE is seeking 911 Call Takers to answer emergency and nonemergency lines, verify locations, and document information for dispatch. Staff may work rotating shifts to support 24-hour operations.

Ideal candidates will have solid listening, typing, and communication skills, and be able to follow structured procedures. Training and certifications determine precise duties and eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Prior customer service, phone support, or public safety experience helpful but not required.
• Strong listening, accurate typing, clear verbal communication, and ability to follow structured procedures.
• Candidates must meet agency assessments and minimum scores as determined by the hiring agency.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller’s callback information.
• Use approved questions to identify the nature and urgency of the situation.
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Help distressed callers focus on essential questions and instructions.
• Use approved language-access and accessibility resources when needed.
• Provide authorized pre-arrival instructions only within training and certification.
