Job summary

Deepgram is seeking a Pre-sales Solutions Engineer to drive complex technical evaluations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will design solution paths, build live demos, and coordinate with Account Executives and Solutions Architects to win strategic opportunities.

The role requires hands-on experience with cloud platforms, Docker/Kubernetes, and strong communication across technical and executive audiences. Remote across EMEA with occasional regional meetups.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role focused on pre-sales.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Rust and ability to build POCs and tools for real users.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms. Comfortable with Docker, Kubernetes, networking fundamentals, and secure API design.
• Proven track record leading POCs for enterprise customers and earning the technical win.
• Clear written and verbal communication across technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery for strategic opportunities. Map business goals to measurable technical success criteria and an evaluation plan.
• Design, scope, and execute POCs that prove value with defined datasets, metrics, and timelines.
• Build lightweight prototypes, sample integrations, and demos using Deepgram SDKs and APIs.
• Advise on architecture for accuracy, latency, scalability, and cost across cloud, self-hosted, and hybrid deployments.
• Run security and compliance threads for GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and vendor risk reviews in EMEA.
• Triage and debug issues during evaluations and unblock customers quickly with Product, Engineering, and Support.
• Create reusable assets like runbooks, reference architectures, and field guides.
• Partner with Solutions Architects and Support for continuity after initial wins and expansions.
• Enable the field by collaborating on positioning, demos, and technical validation for priority use cases.
