Job summary

Deepgram is seeking a Pre-sales Solutions Engineer to join the Applied Engineering team, focusing on strategic opportunities across EMEA. You will map customer goals to technical success criteria, design POCs, and build reusable samples and reference architectures.

Remote across EMEA, you will collaborate with AEs, SAs, Product and Engineering, run end-to-end evaluations, deliver live demos, and help customers scale with Deepgram's speech technologies.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years in Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role focused on pre-sales.
• Professional software engineering experience in at least one language such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Rust.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms. Comfortable with Docker, Kubernetes, networking fundamentals, and secure API design.
• Proven track record leading POCs for enterprise customers and earning the technical win.
• Clear written and verbal communication across both technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery for strategic opportunities and map business goals to measurable technical success criteria.
• Design, scope, and execute POCs that prove value with defined datasets, metrics, and timelines.
• Build prototypes and demos using Deepgram SDKs and APIs to show value.
• Advise on architecture for accuracy, latency, scalability, and cost across cloud, self-hosted, and data residency needs.
• Run security and compliance threads for GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and vendor reviews.
• Triages and debugs issues during evaluations and collaborates with Product, Engineering, and Support to unblock customers.
• Create reusable assets such as samples, reference architectures, runbooks, and field guides.
• Partner with Solutions Architects and Support for continuity post-wins and during expansions.
• Enable the field by collaborating on positioning, demos, and technical validation for priority use cases.
