Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ, is seeking an Embedded Security Software Engineer II to join the Secure Product Assurance team. You will design, code, and test real-time embedded software for secure solutions used in radar, sensor, and fire-control systems.

Onsite work at the Tucson campus is required, with eligibility for DoD security clearance. Responsibilities include lifecycle development, software/hardware integration, and participating in peer reviews with multidisciplinary teams and program

Qualifications

• Master's degree in STEM from an accredited institution.
• Experience developing, testing, or debugging software in C/C++ or similar OO language.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl).
• Real-time embedded software development experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in a team-based development environment.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration.
• Assist in deriving system and software requirements, architectural modeling, and technical analysis.
• Design, code, unit test, integrate, and document real-time embedded software with Secure Software Solution focus.
• Participate in software peer reviews, code inspections, and technical decisions with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support program execution to meet technical, cost, schedule, and quality baselines.
• Follow established software development processes to maintain software integrity.
• Work onsite at Tucson, AZ campus and collaborate with program leadership and customers.
