Job summary

RTX is seeking an Embedded Security Software Engineer II for the Secure Product Assurance team in Tucson, AZ. You will design, code, and test real-time embedded software for radar, sensor, and fire-control systems, with emphasis on secure software solutions.

Responsibilities span the full software lifecycle, including integration with hardware, architecture derivation, and participating in code reviews. This on-site role requires U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in STEM from an accredited institution.
• Experience with C, C++ or similar OO language.
• Experience with Python, Perl or similar scripting languages.
• Real-time embedded software development experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Team-based development environment with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex technical problems and collaborate to provide innovative solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC with HW/SW integration as needed.
• Derive system and software requirements, architecture, and analysis.
• Design, code, test, and document real-time embedded software focusing on secure implementations.
• Engage in peer reviews, code inspections, and technical decisions with stakeholders.
• Support program execution to meet baselines on technical, cost, schedule, and quality.
