Job summary

RTX is seeking an Embedded Security Software Engineer II for the Tucson, AZ campus. You will contribute to Secure Product Assurance by designing, coding, integrating, and testing real-time embedded software for radar, sensor, and fire-control systems, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on debugging, robust testing, and adherence to secure software practices; DoD program experience and ability to obtain a security clearance are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in STEM from an accredited institution.
• Experience developing, testing or debugging software using C, C++, or similar OO language.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl or similar.
• Real time embedded software development experience.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.
• Experience developing software in a team-based development environment with strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex technical problems and collaborate to provide innovative solutions.
• Work at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration.
• Assist in deriving system and software requirements, architectural modeling, and technical analysis.
• Design, code, unit test, integrate, and document real-time embedded software with focus on Secure Software Solutions.
• Participate in software peer reviews, code inspections, and technical decision-making with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support program execution to ensure work products meet technical, cost, schedule, and quality baselines.
• Follow established software development processes to maintain software product integrity.
• Work Location: Onsite at our Tucson, AZ Campus.
• This position requires eligibility to obtain a security clearance (U.S. citizen).
