Job summary

RTX seeks an Embedded Security Software Engineer II for its Tucson, AZ campus. Join the Secure Product Assurance team to design, code, test, and document real-time embedded software for DoD-grade radar, sensor, and fire-control systems.

You will work across the software lifecycle, perform troubleshooting, and participate in peer reviews within a multidisciplinary team. Onsite requirement applies in Tucson, and eligibility for a DoD security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in STEM from an accredited institution; degree must be obtained by start date.
• Experience developing, testing or debugging software using C, C++, or similar OO languages.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl or similar.
• Real time embedded software development experience.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Experience in a team-based development environment with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions; investigate and troubleshoot issues.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including SW/HW integration.
• Assist derivation of system and software requirements, modeling, and analysis.
• Design, code, unit test, integrate, and document real-time embedded software with Secure Software Solution focus.
• Engage in peer reviews, code inspections, and technical decision-making with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support program execution to meet technical, cost, schedule, and quality baselines.
• Follow established software processes to maintain product integrity.
• Onsite location: Tucson, AZ campus; eligibility for DoD clearance required.
