RTX in Goleta, CA is seeking an Embedded Security Software Engineer II to join the Secure Product Assurance team. You will design, code, test, and integrate real-time embedded software for radar, sensor, guidance, and fire-control systems, contributing across the full software lifecycle.

The role requires a master’s STEM degree and DoD security clearance eligibility, with onsite work at the Goleta campus and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in STEM from an accredited institution.
• Experience with C/C++ and real-time embedded software.
• Proficiency in Python or Perl scripting.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in a team-based development environment with good communication.
• Exposure to SDLC processes and software testing.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions.
• Work across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Assist in requirements derivation, architectural modeling, and analysis.
• Design, code, test, integrate, and document real-time embedded software.
• Participate in software peer reviews and technical decision-making with teams and customers.
• Support program execution to meet technical, cost, schedule, and quality baselines.
• Follow software development processes to maintain software product integrity.
