Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead construction projects from planning through close-out. This role requires full-time travel to project locations and on-site execution, with a focus on profitability, quality, safety, and owner satisfaction.

You will manage estimates, schedules, subcontractors, and change orders, while coordinating with the project superintendent to deliver predictable outcomes for national projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ground-up commercial projects.
• Understands estimating concepts to verify bids and change orders.
• Understands contractual language and construction laws.
• Knowledge of building codes, plans, blueprints, and specs.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.

• Collaborates with the Superintendent to ensure project delivery and client relations.
• Assists in estimating and prepares project budget.
• Leads PMP development and conducts pre-award/pre-construction meetings.
• Negotiates change orders and manages cost and profit impact.
• Prepares client pay requests and monitors collections.
• Manages close-out, as-built drawings, and final documentation.
• Maintains ongoing client relationships and attends meetings.
