Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Texas is seeking a dedicated Eligibility Services Clerk to support the AES division. You will process applications, manage mail and records, and assist clients with inquiries in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, customer service experience, and basic computer skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Regular full-time hours with potential overtime and a strong benefits package accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Experience working in a professional customer service environment.
• Thirty (30) hours credit from an accredited college or university OR one (1) year of customer service work experience is preferred.
• Bilingual (English / Spanish) skills preferred.
• Work experience using a computer for inquiry and data entry, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides a variety of clerical support services in a service delivery office.
• Processes mail, opens and dates stamp incoming applications and supporting documents.
• Reviews applications for required signature, date, and supporting documents.
