Health & Human Services Comm in Texas seeks an Eligibility Advisor I for temporary work to determine financial eligibility for SNAP, TANF, Medicaid and related programs. The role supports access to food, medical care, cash assistance, and social services within AES.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of customer service experience. Overtime and fast-paced work are expected; telework is eligible where approved.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preference for 60 sem hrs or 90 qtr hrs from accredited college or university.
• Experience: 1 year of customer service with public contact.
• Ability to operate basic office software and data entry systems.

Responsabilités

• Interview applicants to obtain financial and personal information for eligibility.
• Enter data into eligibility systems and evaluate information for program benefits.
• Compute and authorize benefits based on eligibility determinations.
• Process work in compliance with state and federal regulations and timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
