Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) invites an Eligibility Advisor I to join a team dedicated to helping Texans access food, medical care and social services. This temporary role focuses on interviewing clients, verifying data, and determining eligibility for SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid while working within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

The position requires strong communication, data-entry accuracy and adherence to policy regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours preferred.
• One year of customer service experience required.
• Experience interviewing clients preferred.

Responsabilités

• Interview applicants in person or by phone to obtain financial and personal information for eligibility.
• Evaluate data from multiple sources and enter into the eligibility system.
• Compute and authorize benefits based on eligibility determinations.
• Follow regulations and established procedures to complete work.
