Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks an Eligibility Advisor I in Columbus, TX to determine financial eligibility for public assistance programs. You will interview applicants, evaluate data, and authorize benefits for SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Applicants must have a high school diploma, 1 year of customer service, and strong communication. Telework options may apply; fingerprint checks and background screening are part of the process.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required; college hours preferred.
• One year of customer service experience.
• Ability to learn regulations and work in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication and data entry using MS Office.

Mansioni

• Interview applicants and recipients to determine financial eligibility.
• Evaluate data to enter information into eligibility systems.
• Compute and authorize benefits based on eligibility.
• Process work per regulations and procedures.
• Work overtime and weekends when required.
• Operate computers and Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel.
