Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks an Eligibility Advisor I to help Texans access essential services such as food, medical care, and cash assistance. Join the AES team to connect clients with services while upholding respect, ownership, collaboration, and integrity.

You will interview applicants, assess eligibility, and determine benefit results for programs like SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid.

Qualifikationen

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Sixty (60) semester hours from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Experience: One (1) year of customer service in public contact settings preferred.

Aufgaben

• Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility for public assistance programs.
• Evaluate data from multiple sources to enter into an eligibility system.
• Compute and authorize benefits based on eligibility determinations.
• Process work per state and federal regulations and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, with overtime when required.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment to meet deadlines.
