Job summary

TK Elevator in Miami, FL is seeking an experienced Superintendent - New Installation to lead construction operations for elevator projects. You will oversee field crews, schedule installations, and coordinate with owners, architects, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role requires strong leadership, safety discipline, and the ability to review project status, manage subcontractors, and sign off on change orders while ensuring compliance with elevator industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or two years’ experience managing on a branch department.
• Ability to write reports, contract proposals and business correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and customers.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Requires a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicles Report.

Responsibilities

• Supervises construction field employees and enforces company policies and objectives.
• Administers safety program and conducts safety audits.
• Plans, directs and prioritizes elevator installations and manpower needs.
• Reviews job status using accounting reports to identify risk and opportunity.
• Manages subcontractor schedule and performance on turnkey projects.
• Develops and maintains relationships with owners, contractors, elevator consultants, and architects.
• Sign off on change orders, purchase orders, and other approvals.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all elevator industry code requirements.
• Interacts with internal departments and attends trainings.
• Mediates and resolves complaints with external and internal customers.
• Determines materials and coordinates sub-contracting portions of installations.
• Makes weekly crew visits and documents progress.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
