Job summary

TK Elevator is seeking an experienced Superintendent- Modernization in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to lead elevator modernization projects and field crews. You will oversee safety, scheduling, budgeting, and client communications to ensure on-time, profitable project delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, project management, and knowledge of elevator industry codes, with responsibility from survey through project completion and subcontractor coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or building modernization projects including field supervision.
• Ability to write reports, proposals and business communications.
• Ability to present information to management and customers.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions and manage multiple variables.

Responsibilities

• Supervises modernization field employees, including hiring and performance management.
• Administers safety program and conducts safety audits.
• Plans and prioritizes modernization projects and manpower needs with scheduling tools.
• Reviews job status using accounting reports to identify risk and opportunities.
• Manages jobsites from survey through completion, including customer reviews and problem solving.
• Coordinates subcontractor schedule and performance on turnkey projects.
• Maintains relationships with owners, consultants and architects.
• Reviews change orders, purchase orders, and approvals as needed.
• Keeps up-to-date with federal, state, and local elevator codes.
