Job summary

TK Elevator in Memphis, TN, seeks an experienced Superintendent- New Installation to lead elevator installation projects from planning through turnover, ensuring safety, quality and on-time completion.

You will supervise field crews, coordinate with owners, architects and contractors, manage subcontractors and suppliers, review change orders, monitor budgets, use project management tools, and report project status weekly to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to write reports, contract proposals and business correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and customers.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all construction field employees by providing direction and training, and communicating company policies, procedures and objectives.
• Administers company safety program and performs safety audits to stress safety.
• Plans, directs and prioritizes elevator installations and manpower needs; uses project management software.
• Reviews job status using accounting reports to identify risk and opportunity; reports fade issues prior to revenue.
• Manages subcontractor schedule and performance on turn-key projects.
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with owners, contractors, elevator consultants, and architects.
• Reviews change orders, purchase orders, elevator turnover authorizations, accounts receivable and related approvals.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable elevator industry codes and SOPs.
• Interfaces with corporate departments and field operations to coordinate and support projects.
• Mediates and resolves complaints from customers and local business agents.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or two years’ branch management experience
