Otis Elevator Company’s Downtown Chicago branch is seeking a highly motivated Modernization Superintendent to oversee repair work and the safety, training, and performance of all assigned projects. You will lead field operations, coordinate with project managers and contractors, and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.

Requirements include 4+ years in the elevator industry, strong leadership and communication, and solid computer skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Elevator industry experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and teamwork abilities required.
• BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for a high-volume modernization portfolio.
• Oversee repair work, route control, scheduling and QA.
• Coordinate daily activities with project managers, contractors and owners.
• Provide technical support and authorize change orders.
• Drive safety in the workplace and manage labor/materials expenditures.
