Job summary

Otis Elevator Company seeks a Modernization Project Manager to oversee coordination of activities on multiple modernization installation projects. The role focuses on ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, safety compliance, and high customer satisfaction.

You will lead cross-functional teams, work with sales staff and leadership, and manage contract administration, billing, RFIs, and change orders to optimize project cash coverage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years elevator industry project management and/or construction experience
• Familiarity with cost estimating, scheduling, and contract administration
• Ability to read and review architectural and structural drawings
• Team-oriented and adaptable in dynamic settings
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Self-motivated, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft software within technical environments
• Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure flawless execution of each project, on schedule and within budget, meeting safety standards and customer expectations
• Coordinate all contract activities from award to completion and review project progress
• Proactively communicate with cross-functional partners
• Collaborate with sales staff, superintendents, and senior leadership on financial and customer outcomes
• Manage billing, payments to consultants and contractors, RFIs, and change orders to maximize cash flow
• Interpret construction documents and contract modifications to determine cost implications
• Analyze situations and develop contingencies for estimates
