Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time LifeWise Teacher to share the gospel and knowledge with public school students in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a caring, perceptive approach to teaching children.

The role requires completing the teacher certification, using the LifeWise curriculum in class, maintaining attendance and rosters, and cultivating an engaging, orderly classroom.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting.
• A mature Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise's beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and ongoing training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map curriculum customization.
• Maintain attendance records and class rosters, and prepare information for substitutes.
• Maintain an organized classroom and manage materials within budget.
• Communicate with school personnel and LifeWise staff, building relationships with volunteers.
