Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise Teacher to share the gospel with public school students using the LifeWise curriculum. The role emphasizes building relationships with students, maintaining an orderly and engaging classroom, and staying connected with school personnel and volunteers.

The ideal candidate demonstrates active church involvement, a mature Christian faith aligned with the LifeWise Statement of Faith, and commitment to ongoing training and program requirements.

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting.
• Active personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise's beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and ongoing training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days of start date.
• Teach LifeWise classes using the LifeWise curriculum and tailor lessons accordingly.
• Build relationships with students, praying for them regularly and maintaining an orderly, encouraging classroom.
• Maintain attendance, rosters and records; prepare materials for substitutes as needed.
• Communicate with school personnel and volunteers; share updates and photos with the program director.
