Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time teacher to share gospel and Bible knowledge with public school students in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills, caring, perceptive, and proficient in teaching children.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of classroom teaching experience with students in a school or church setting.
• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days and participate in the annual LifeWise Summit.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the curriculum and customize where needed.
• Invest in students by building relationships and praying for them regularly.
• Maintain an organized, encouraging classroom environment and apply redemptive discipline.
• Take attendance and maintain rosters, health concerns, and permissions as needed.
• Maintain a clean, well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers, and the program director.
• Promote LifeWise religious mission in all duties and interactions.
