Job summary

Dow Sabine Operations in Texas seeks an Electrical Production Engineer to optimize, troubleshoot, and design electrical systems (480V to 138kV). You will work across engineering, maintenance, and operations to improve reliability and safety while supporting generator turn-arounds and major projects.

The role requires a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years of experience, and proficiency with SKM modeling and power system studies. On-site in Orange, TX with comprehensive Dow benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3+ years relevant experience.
• Ability to understand electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems including switch gear, MCCs, transformers, VFDs, UPS, DC systems.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project development for repairs and reliability improvements.
• Develop scope, design, and specs for motors, breakers, relays, generators, substations, buses, starters, transformers (480V to 138kV).
• Monitor performance, load flow, and anomalies; propose reliability improvements.
• Support large/medium voltage generators, excitation, and protection systems.
• Assist in maintenance scopes and planning for major generator turn-arounds.
• Initiate small projects to improve reliability; coordinate larger projects.
• Oversee commissioning, startup support, and field interface with maintenance.
