Job summary

Dow Sabine Operations seeks an Electrical Production Engineer in Orange, TX. This role focuses on the optimization, troubleshooting, and design of electrical equipment to ensure safe, environmentally sound, reliable, and profitable operations.

You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project development to identify repairs, plan scopes, and coordinate upgrades from 480V to 138kV. A BS in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of experience are required; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years relevant experience in electrical engineering.
• Ability to read electrical one-line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for low-, medium-, and high-voltage systems including switch gear and MCCs.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and projects to identify repairs and reliability improvements.
• Develop scope, design, and specs for industrial electrical systems (480V to 138kV).
• Monitor performance and load flow, and recommend improvements for reliability and capability.
• Support large MV generators, excitation, and protection systems.
• Assist in maintenance planning for generator turn-arounds and repairs.
• Initiate small projects to improve electrical system reliability and coordinate larger projects.
• Oversee commissioning, startup, and field support for electrical systems.
