Job summary

Dow is seeking an Electrical Production Engineer in Orange, TX, to optimize, troubleshoot and design electrical equipment for Sabine Operations. You will ensure safe, reliable, and environmentally sound power delivery across the plant.

You will cover LV/MV systems, develop scopes for motors and transformers, monitor performance and support generator maintenance and startup activities. Collaboration with operations and maintenance is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
3 years relevant experience.
Ability to understand electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship.
Demonstrated experience with power systems as an Electrical Engineer.
Experience in operating units/plants with safety/environment awareness.

Responsibilities

Provide coverage for low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems including switchgear, MCCs, transformers, VFDs, UPS, DC systems.
Coordinate repairs and reliability improvements with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project teams.
Develop scope, design, and specifications for motors, breakers, relays, generators, substations, buses, and transformers (480V–138kV).
Monitor performance, load flow, and reliability, and propose improvements.
Provide technical support for large/medium voltage generators and protection systems.
Assist in maintenance scopes and planning for generator turn-arounds.
Initiate and manage small projects to improve electrical system reliability; coordinate larger projects.
