Job summary

Dow Sabine Operations seeks an Electrical Production Engineer to optimize, troubleshoot and design electrical equipment across 480V to 138kV. The role involves field presence to ensure safe, reliable, and profitable operations.

You will interact with operations, maintenance, engineering and project teams to deliver reliability improvements and support large electrical systems throughout the Sabine area in Texas and neighboring facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
• Ability to read electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems including switch gear, MCCs, transformers, VFDs, UPS, DC systems, and electrical safety.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project development to implement repairs and reliability improvements.
• Develop scope, design, and specifications for motors, breakers, relays, generators, substations, buses, starters and transformers (480V–138kV).
• Monitor performance, load flow, anomalies, and recommend reliability improvements.
• Provide technical support for large/medium voltage generators, excitation and protection systems.
• Assist in maintenance scopes and planning for major generator turnarounds.
• Initiate and manage small projects to improve electrical systems; coordinate larger projects with engineering, maintenance, and operations.
• Oversee commissioning, startup support, and field assist for electrical systems.
• Serve as electrical technology liaison between project engineers, plant maintenance, and operations.
