Job summary

Dow Sabine Operations in Orange, TX seeks an Electrical Production Engineer to optimize, troubleshoot, and design electrical equipment for safe, reliable, and profitable operations.

You will collaborate with operations, maintenance and engineering to develop scopes and specifications for motors, breakers, relays, generators and substations (480V–138kV), monitor performance and lead reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience required.
• Ability to read electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical systems including switch gear, MCCs, transformers, VFDs, UPS, DC systems.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering and project development for repairs and reliability improvements.
• Develop scope, design, and specifications for motors, breakers, relays, generators and substations (480V–138kV).
• Monitor performance, load flow and anomalies; propose reliability enhancements.
• Support electrical generators, excitation and protection systems.
• Lead maintenance planning for generator turnarounds and oversee equipment repairs.
• Initiate and manage small projects; coordinate larger equipment projects across teams.
• Oversee commissioning, startup, and support of electrical systems with maintenance personnel.
• Serve as electrical technology liaison between project engineers, maintenance and operations.
• Support business teams to improve electrical reliability while reducing costs.
