Job summary

ABB is seeking a technically strong, customer-focused Inside Sales Specialist to support a growing sales organization. You will pursue incoming leads, provide technical guidance, and help convert customer needs into sales opportunities.

Hybrid role with a preference for Houston, TX, travel <10%. This position contributes to ABB's Electrification Division in the United States and interfaces with sales, operations, and customer teams to keep opportunities moving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
• 8 years of experience required, including at least 3 years in the electrical industry.
• Familiarity with 3-phase AC Power Systems and distribution products.
• Experience with complex bid/proposal processes and negotiations.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate across customers and internal teams.
• Travel expectations less than 10%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary inside sales and customer support resource, qualifying leads and providing technical guidance.
• Manage and coordinate the proposal process, review RFQs, oversee Salesforce opportunities, support pricing and pre-negotiation activities.
• Drive customer satisfaction and project execution through proactive communication, post-sale order coordination, and escalation of critical concerns.
• Support business operations and sales performance by managing account administration, NDA/warranty processes, and developing sales reports and dashboards.
