Job summary

ABB Inc. in the United States is seeking a technically strong, customer-focused inside sales specialist to pursue incoming leads, provide technical guidance, support bids, and convert customer needs into sales opportunities.

You will coordinate across sales, proposals, operations, and customer teams to keep opportunities moving, with a strong focus on hybrid work from our Houston, TX office and travel <10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business preferred; commensurate experience considered.
• 8 years of experience required, including at least 3 years in the electrical industry.
• Experience with complex bid and proposal processes and negotiations.
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination across customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary inside sales and customer support resource, qualifying leads and guiding customers before external sales involvement.
• Manage and coordinate the proposal process by reviewing RFQs, overseeing Salesforce opportunities, and supporting pricing activities.
• Drive customer satisfaction and project execution through proactive updates and issue resolution.
• Support sales performance by managing account administration, NDA/warranty processes, events, and sales reporting.
