Job summary

ABB is seeking a technically strong Inside Sales Specialist to drive the customer journey, qualify leads, provide technical guidance, support bids, and convert customer needs into meaningful sales opportunities. This role collaborates across sales, proposals, operations, and customer teams to keep opportunities moving, with hybrid work from the Houston, TX area preferred and travel under 10%.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred; commensurate experience considered.
8+ years of experience including 3+ years in electrical industry.
Familiarity with 3-phase AC Power Systems and related equipment.
Experience with complex bid/proposal processes and contract negotiations.
Strong communication and cross-functional coordination across customers and internal teams.
Experience with SFDC and SAP; willingness to learn additional tools.
Travel expectations under 10%.
Candidate must have work authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary inside sales and customer support resource for leads and opportunities.
Manage and coordinate the proposal process and key bid milestones.
Drive customer satisfaction and project execution through proactive communication.
Develop sales reports and dashboards to support budget and growth goals.
