Job summary

Vertex Companies, LLC is seeking an Electrical Forensic Engineer to investigate electrical system failures across various sectors. You will conduct field inspections, analyze evidence, and prepare technical reports for clients, carriers, and attorneys.

The role blends engineering judgment with investigative analysis in a consulting environment. You will travel to loss sites, manage investigations within timetables and budgets, and collaborate with a team of forensic engineers while pursuing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
• EIT certification required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate electrical system failures and incidents across residential, commercial, industrial, and utility equipment.
• Conduct field inspections, gather evidence, and document findings.
• Develop engineering opinions supported by NEC, NFPA, and IEEE standards.
• Prepare clear technical reports and assist with litigation support as needed.
• Coordinate with clients, carriers, attorneys, and stakeholders to manage investigations.
