Job summary

Vertex Companies, LLC is seeking an Electrical Forensic Engineer to investigate electrical system failures, conduct field inspections, and prepare technical reports for clients and stakeholders. You’ll work with experienced forensic engineers on projects across residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Responsibilities include evaluating evidence, performing engineering calculations, and supporting litigation or insurance-related activities while adhering to NEC, NFPA, and IEEE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2+ years related experience, or advanced degree with no experience, or 5+ years related experience without degree.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical forensic investigations of failures and incidents across residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Perform site inspections, collect evidence, and evaluate electrical components and systems.
• Develop engineering opinions with analysis, standards, and best practices; prepare clear technical reports.
