Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC is seeking an Electrical Forensic Engineer to investigate electrical system failures across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You will conduct field inspections, review evidence, perform engineering analysis, and prepare client-ready reports.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor\'s degree and an EIT; PE license is preferred. Strong communication, independence, and travel to loss sites as needed are important for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • EIT certification required; PE license preferred but not required.
  • Relevant experience in forensic engineering or investigations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical forensic investigations of failures, fires, and equipment damage.
  • Perform site inspections and collect evidence to evaluate electrical components and systems.
  • Analyze data, calculations, and standards to determine root causes and develop opinions.
  • Prepare clear, defensible technical reports for clients, insurers, and attorneys.
  • Assist with litigation support including exhibits and expert analyses as needed.
