Job summary

IEM is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to perform start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, and service support for IEM equipment in our field operations. You will diagnose and resolve moderately complex technical issues with minimal supervision, while serving as a trusted customer contact in the field.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in power distribution systems preferred.
• 1+ years supporting switchgear start-up and commissioning.
• 1–3 years related electrical, mechanical, or field service experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform start-up, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, service, and repair of IEM equipment, including switchboards and power products.
• Install and modify electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with contractors, clients, and internal teams.
• Analyze system failures, identify root causes, and determine corrective actions for moderately complex issues.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, control wiring, and networking equipment.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and internal teams to resolve issues in the field.
• Document service activities including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Assist with training and mentoring Level I technicians as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
