Job summary

Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM) is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to perform start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and field service for IEM equipment.

You will serve as a trusted customer contact, provide guidance to junior technicians, and coordinate with project teams. The role requires strong diagnostic skills, safety compliance, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with power distribution systems knowledge preferred.
• 1+ years of experience supporting switchgear start-up and commissioning required.
• Strong ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics; safe tool use.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform start-up, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, service, and repair of IEM equipment.
• Install and modify electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with project teams and clients.
• Analyze system failures and determine root causes with corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, control wiring, and networking equipment.
• Document service activities, root cause analysis, and follow-up items.
