Job summary

IEM is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to perform start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, diagnosing, and service support for our equipment in field environments. You will act as a trusted customer contact and guide entry-level technicians while working with project teams and customers.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, the ability to resolve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, and adherence to safety standards across electrical and mechanical

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in power distribution systems preferred.
• 1+ years of experience supporting switchgear start-up and commissioning.
• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, service, and repair of IEM equipment.
• Install and modify electrical/mechanical components and subassemblies.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with clients and internal teams.
• Document service activities and corrective actions accurately.
• Mentor Level I technicians and provide on-the-job training as needed.
