Job summary

IES is seeking an Electrical Foreman to oversee field operations, coordinate crews, and ensure safety, quality, and timely completion of projects. This role requires hands-on leadership, ability to read blueprints, manage schedules, and enforce electrical codes and company standards on active job sites.

Travel to client sites as needed; work outdoors and indoors; ensure documentation and reporting are accurate; promote a safe, productive work environment and mentor electricians and apprentices.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, installation practices and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, project plans and electrical documentation.
• Ability to lead, coordinate, train, and direct electrical field personnel.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills in the field.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical crews and daily field activities to support project schedules, productivity, and quality standards.
• Oversee electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work for accurate project execution.
• Review project plans, blueprints, specifications, schematics, and work orders and communicate requirements to field personnel.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, codes, and project requirements.
• Monitor jobsite progress, materials, equipment, and site conditions and address issues affecting safety, quality, or completion.
• Coordinate with project leadership, customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments on activities, material needs, schedules, and concerns.
• Provide direction, training, and support to electricians, technicians, apprentices, and others as needed.
• Identify and resolve electrical, operational, and site issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to field activities and project progress.
• Promote a safe, organized, and productive jobsite with professional communication with customers and partners.
