Job summary

IES is seeking an Electrical Foreman to oversee field operations, coordinate crews, and ensure safe, on-time electrical project completion. You will lead electricians, technicians, and apprentices, review plans, and ensure compliance with codes and company standards.

Strong leadership and safety adherence are essential, with travel to project sites and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, installation practices, troubleshooting techniques, and construction methods.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, applicable electrical codes, and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, project plans, specifications, and electrical documentation.
• Ability to effectively lead, coordinate, train, and provide direction to electrical field personnel.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in the field.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical crews and daily field activities to support schedules and quality standards.
• Oversee electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work for accurate execution.
• Review plans, blueprints, specifications, and work orders; communicate requirements to field personnel.
• Ensure electrical work complies with company policies, safety standards, codes, and project requirements.
• Monitor jobsite progress, materials, equipment, and site conditions; address safety/quality issues.
• Coordinate with project leadership, customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments.
