Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is offering an Electrical Engineering Intern position based in US-KY-Lexington. Interns will support lead engineers on design tasks, perform data entry, documentation, and presentation preparation while gaining exposure to multiple market segments, including transmission and distribution.

Applicants should be enrolled in an Electrical Engineering program, maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher, and show involvement in campus or community activities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with strong academics.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred for program accreditation.
• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education or technical program related to the work.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead engineers with project duties and design tasks.
• Perform filing, scanning, data entry, and documentation.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations and assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to project concerns and research potential fixes.
