Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern to apply standard engineering techniques across market segments, including Transmission & Distribution. Responsibilities include designing and updating systems, assisting lead engineers, and supporting project tasks in a collaborative team environment.

The internship emphasizes growth, communication, and hands-on learning with exposure to real-world projects and the opportunity to develop technical and leadership skills within a major consulting

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized, accredited program required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
