Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Akron, OH seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern to support Transmission & Distribution projects, applying standard engineering techniques and assisting lead engineers on diverse tasks.

You are pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, with ABET accreditation favored, and you will demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving and teamwork abilities while gaining real-world design exposure.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner with aptitude to grow in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in data collection and analysis for continuous improvement.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
