Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Vancouver, WA to support electrical engineering tasks within Transmission & Distribution projects. You will assist with design updates, data entry, presentations, and ad hoc project work under lead engineers.

We're looking for students pursuing a bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (ABET preferred) with a 3.0+ GPA, strong communication, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in a related program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active involvement in campus/community activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner with growth potential.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
