Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team across North America. You will guide electrical infrastructure for high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems, including breakers, transformers, MCCs, and protection schemes. Travel ~30% to support sites and projects.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will shape technical standards, mentor SMEs, and drive capital and maintenance initiatives with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/Science (Electrical Engineering) from an accredited institution.
• 15-20 years in electrical engineering with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with MV/HV systems, protective relaying, and transformers.
• Experience across concept design, construction, commissioning and startups.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design engineering across capital projects.
• Manage a team of electrical SMEs and external partners.
• Develop technical standards for electrical designs.
• Support operations with technology upgrades and risk assessments.
• Drive feasibility studies balancing technical and economic considerations.
• Mentor engineers and lead front-end loading activities.
