Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team supporting the Energy-from-Waste processes at 30+ North American facilities. The role oversees high-, medium-, and low-voltage infrastructure, including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and protective relaying, with extensive collaboration across site and regional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 15–20 years in electrical engineering with 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience with HV/MV systems and large industrial facilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Discipline/Design Engineering: manage and assign work across the Electrical Engineering team.
• Lead electrical infrastructure design for capital projects.
• Develop and maintain electrical design standards library.
• Provide engineering support to operations and implement upgrades.
• Engage external engineering partners for sound designs.
• Lead front-end design activities (FEL) for capital projects.
• Mentor SMEs and lead talent development.
