Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team supporting Energy-from-Waste facilities across North America. You will guide electrical infrastructure from 26 kV to 230 kV, including breakers, transformers, MCCs, and motors, collaborating with site teams and cross-functional partners.

The role emphasizes design leadership, capital projects, and feasibility studies for new facilities, with travel about 30%.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of electrical engineering experience with leadership.
• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience with MV/HV systems and protective relaying.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Discipline/Design Engineering: Manage, prioritize, and assign work across the Electrical Engineering team and SMEs.
• Capital Projects: Lead electrical infrastructure design engineering for capital projects.
• Technical Programs: Lead technical programs of strategic importance to the company.
• Technical Standards: Develop, maintain, and improve Reworld’s Electrical specifications/design standards library.
• Operations Support: Provide engineering support to operations, including evaluation and implementation of technology upgrades aligned with the business needs.
