Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team responsible for energy-from-waste facilities across North America. You will drive HV, MV, and LV electrical infrastructure, protect relays, and support capital projects with feasible, safe designs.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will mentor SMEs, manage budgets, and coordinate with cross-functional partners while traveling about 30% to sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 15–20 years in electrical engineering with at least 5 years leading teams.
• Experience with MV/HV systems and capital projects.
• Experience across the project lifecycle including concept, construction, commissioning, and start-ups.

Responsibilities

• Manage Electrical Design Engineering teams and oversee capital projects.
• Lead electrical infrastructure design across HV/MV/LV systems and protection schemes.
• Collaborate with site/regional teams and travel ~30%.
• Drive continuous improvement, risk assessment, and safety in designs.
