Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team across North America, overseeing HV, MV, and LV systems for energy-from-waste facilities. The role emphasizes design leadership, capital project execution, and collaboration with site teams, with about 30% travel.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will mentor SMEs, drive technical standards, and support feasibility studies and resource planning for growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 15-20 years of experience in electrical engineering with leadership experience.
• Experience with MV/HV systems and protection relaying is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize work across the Electrical Engineering team.
• Lead electrical infrastructure design for capital projects.
• Guide technical programs and maintain design standards library.
• Provide operations support and evaluate technology upgrades.
• Engage external engineering partners and manage FEL activities.
• Mentor SMEs and lead talent development.
• Perform feasibility studies and total cost of ownership analyses.
