Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in San Diego is seeking an Engineering Intern to support design tasks, data entry, and documentation under guidance from lead engineers. You will assist with PowerPoint presentations, analyses, and project coordination across Transmission & Distribution projects.

The role requires pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ABET accreditation preferred, and a GPA of at least 3.0.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active campus or community involvement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
